Women in Tech Weekly Issue 23

Here we are again, another Tuesday, another Women in Tech Weekly issue ?

Starting off each week by making these is definitely the best way to start the week as far as I’m concerned! Learning about all these amazing women and their achievements is just such an inspiration and puts me in a wonderful mood every time ?

I can just hope it has the same effect on you… So, enjoy!

Celebrations ??

Tamara is launching her podcast The Females In Tech Show on 14th September!

In her own words:

“What started as an idea in my annual goal setting in early January, and led to me purchasing on online program about podcasting at the end of April, to working through the program for the last 4 months, buying the gear and learning the machinations of recording, editing and publishing podcasts has resulted in the creation of the Females in Tech Show.

It’s been both intense, and exciting. I’ve really enjoyed the experience, and more importantly, the opportunity to create new content to support the females in tech community.

The Females in Tech Show is relevant for women in tech, or those considering technology as a career. As with the FIIT Collective website, the podcast will cover 3 key areas – Technology, Wellbeing and Balance – with the intention to support and empower females to live a balanced and purposeful life through a career in information technology.

Kimi has completed her #100daysofdigitallearning challenge!

In her own words:

“After so much up and downs I have completed my #100daysofdigitallearning challenge ? This challenge was amazing I learnt so many things and explored myself a lot!“

[ Day 100/100] 👩‍💻 Yayyy… Finally, I done my #100daysofdigitallearning challenge and it was so fun. Those 100 days were excited, challenging and enthusiastic which I will Never forgot. I met with lots of people through this challenge and got opportunity to know about them and their work. In this challenge i learnt many things related to Digital Marketing. 👩‍💻 • ✓ They are like: #contentwriting #websitecontentwriting #seo #smm #sem #displayadvertising #dataanalytics #emailmarketing • ✓ This journey was adorable and not forgotable. today's last topic of this challenge which i learnt. • • ✓ Engagement-Based Email Marketing As email marketing is getting smarter, marketers have started to care more about sending emails to subscribers who are active on their lists. For instance, if a contact highly engages with your emails, he should be regularly nurtured with content and updates about your company until he converts into a loyal customer. On the other hand, if a subscriber hasn’t opened an email for a certain period of time, he will be considered as a dormant contact and will no longer receive additional emails. But to send the right email to the right segment, marketers need to identify all their leads behaviors. If the platforms they are using have limitations to classify their audience into different segments based on their behaviors, they can integrate their tools with other applications that allow them to do that. After all data is determined and different segments are created according to defined criteria, marketers will be able to target their leads more effectively with behavioral-based emails. • • • #digitalchallenge2019 #geeklife #freelancer #girlscript #womenwhocode #womenintech #newbie #womenempowerment #educateyourself #100daysofproductivity #searchengineoptimization #keywords #digitalmarketing #digitallearning #google #googlelearning #googlecourses #digitalindia #digitalindiaweek #digitallearningtour

Resources ?‍?

fast.ai v3 – shared by Claire

Claire says:

“One of the most practical and intuitive ways to learn all about deep learning from beginner to being able to code your own neural networks. Part 2 also included Tensorflow for Swift to help you add AI into apps. This is the best course I have done on AI and I highly recommend it. The course is free and they provide options to help people of different budgets access GPU to do experimentation. Basically it has everything!”

And two resources created and shared by me ?

Some time ago, I asked my YouTube followers to send me their questions and concerns about the professional world – fitting in, thriving, advancing in your career. I identified three main areas people are concerned about when it comes to this topic, so let me share my thoughts and advice for you based on my own experience.

Staying productive when travelling is my biggest challenge – because there are so many moving variables and I’m seeking at least something constant. Starting this morning routine gave me exactly what I was looking for!

I honestly feel so blessed being able to do what I do, and shine a light on some of the brilliant accomplishments by my fellow women in tech… Hopefully, it inspires you too, and I’ll see you in one of the next issues of Women in Tech Weekly ?

Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below and if you’d like to share something for next week’s issue, here’s the submission form!! Bookmark that and add anything you’d like to share in there ?
