Let's talk about accessibility Want to reach more people? Make your content more accessible! It doesn't take a whole lot of extra work and accessibile content isn't just great for people with disabilities but also just better content for everyone involved. Here's a few things you can do: Use Alt Text: this is text that gets read aloud when someone is using a screen reader (software that helps visually impaired people navigate software). Make sure that you write out any text your image has here – and describe the image at hand. The goal is to convey to the user the message the image at hand is trying to say. Contrast & Size: in your stories or images make sure you have high contrast. This will really help people with color blindness or honestly anyone read your content better. Same goes for text size Audio: if you post a video make sure it has captions. In your stories if you're talking aloud make sure that you also describe in text what you're talking about – this is super useful for forgetful people like me who don't remember to bring their headphones all the time too. Tools like Amara and Dotsub can help you do this. Those are 3 really simple and easy things you can do. Just being mindful goes a long way! I'm still learning about how to be more accessible and I might be reposting and deleting some of my more inaccessible posts for this reason.
