About Sonia
Hi, my name is Sonia Camacho I am currently a third-year computer science student at Oregon State University. Over the past year, I started my youtube channel where I showcase what it’s like being a WOC in STEM. I am super passionate about getting more minorities into STEM as well as tech in the fashion industry.
How did you get into tech?
I did 2 years of Computer Science in high school and fell in love with it! I decided to continue my learning at the university level.
What languages/technologies do you have the most experience in?
C++, C, Java, Python, HTML, Pascal
What are you currently learning/practising?
I am currently in Operating Systems, Software Engineering 1 and Ethics of Computer Science

What would people learn about by following you?
What the reality of being a Computer Science student at the university level is.
What inspired you to start sharing your experiences on social media?
When I was entering college I was looking for vlogs and posts of other Latinas in CS and I couldn’t find anyone so I decided I would start to hopefully help someone else.
