October 1: Women in Tech Weekly Issue 26

Another Tuesday, another issue of Women in Tech Weekly, still such an immense pleasure! If you enjoy it as much as I do, join me once again in celebrating amazing women, and learning something new from the wonderful resources they share ?

Featured Woman ?‍?

Alex and The Yogi Coder

Alex’s energy is contagious, this girl is always on the move, picking up new projects, going on adventures and sharing her wisdom. She seems to have worked in so many different environments and companies – from Facebook to startups, to her own consultancy firm! I love learning from Alex and getting motivated from her social media and personal achievements ?

Celebrations ??

Alaa just officially became a GDG Organizer in GDG Coast Lebanon!

In her own words:

“As a new GDG Organizer, I wanted to bring together two communities in Lebanon that I love the Beirut AI community and the GDG community. We were able to amass an attendance of 62 people that participated in the introductory workshop! There was great feedback and I’m super excited for the next event!”

#notetoself: Acknowledging your achievements and skills is not showing off. . . . I'm so proud of myself. I've come so far in the past couple of years. I've been working at a great company with great people. I've been able to take on a side project I wanted and I'm participating in the communities that I love. . . . And I recognize that this is a lot and I'm grateful that I have had the chance to do all of these things. . . . But for this week I'm so happy that I got the chance to organise my first ever event as a #gdg organiser! I'm excited for all the other events to come! . . . What are you grateful for? ❤️ What can you give yourself credit for today? . . . #girlboss #sorrynotsorry #womenintech #womentechmakers #womeninstem #womenwhocode #community #tech #grateful #programmer #selfcare #selflove #youreenough

Anto went to her first hackathon!

And it sounds like she had a great time despite the lack of sleep! This is awesome, Anto, you are such a badass!

My first hackathon is in the bag! No glamour, no showers, no sleep, many hours of work and even more delirious laughs with friends. . We did a Capture The Flag challenge, went to some workshops, and came up with some exciting ideas we are pursuing further. I even got to see the sweet @air.sea.sam briefly – a legit meetup is in order 💞 . It was a fun weekend, but I’m happy to be out of the hackathon vortex and back in the real world 📍 My Brain is still a little loopy. It might take a couple of days to fully recover 😅 . . . . . #womenintech #roadtosoftwareengineer #instatech #instacode #techie #productivelifehappylife #technology #learntocode #learnprigramming #coding #programming #womenwhocode #cozycoding #workhard #laptops #alwayslearning #codealong #webdeveloper #computerscience #CSstudent #girlsintech #girlsinSTEM #girlswhocode #nerd #computersciencestudent #hackathon #mlh #developer #softwareengineering
