HASHTAG LONDON. So what’s up with Instagram hashtags as we near 2020? ⠀ It’s time to accept that hashtags aren’t 🔑 for reach in 2019, so they won’t be your social media secret sauce in 2020 either. Yes, you need them. Yes, they matter. But your content matters more. IG is over-saturated and the algorithm is LIMITING reach, especially with hashtags. ⠀ How to beat this? CREATE SHAREABLE CONTENT. What does your audience want to see and what will make them share your content? ⠀ Sharing is caring 😉 and it’s the only way to truly grow your brand or personal brand on IG. As I like to say, content is queen. 👑 Happy creating. ⠀ #instagramgrowth #instagrammarketing #smm #socialmediamarketing #latinasintech #londontech #latinxtech #womenintech #girlswhocode #hashtags #hashtagtips #contentcreation #contentmarketing #contentisqueen

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲 . Learning to code is a long journey, how do you keep yourself going when the road gets tough? Here are some tips. . ➡️Have an end goal in mind. It’s important to begin with the end in mind, really think about your why’s. Why you want to start this journey, why it’s important for you to achieve your goal, set yearly, monthly, weekly and daily goals to help you align with your intentions. . ➡️Choose consistency over speed. CONSISTENCY IS KEY. slow and steady wins the game. In order to be master at anything you need to be patience and willing to wait out the time to get to where you want. . ➡️Build up your willpower muscle. Willpower is like battery on your phone, it will run out everyday. In order to build up your willpower you need to practice it like going to the gym. So small tasks like getting up early, saying no to unhealthy food, going to the gym regularly, block out time to work on your goals, those small tasks can be used as a way to train your willpower muscle and improve your discipline. . ➡️Avoid burnout and get rest. REST so you can go down this marathon. It’s not a sprint. . ➡️Don’t let impostor syndrome get you down. One reason that I think this is such a common fear for coders is because the fields of programming and web development are just so broad. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the vast number of skills you need to know. to be honest, no one knows EVERYTHING. Focus on learning, overtime as your skill grow your confidence will grow. You gotta be patience with yourself. . ➡️Find a community of peers. why I’m creating this instagram account! I dont want you all be alone! Also checkout other instagram accounts, keeping yourself motivated! . I hope you found this helpful. ➡️follow @vickysdailystandup for daily1 min tech videos! . . #learntocode #coder #coding #codingbootcamp #computerscience#frontenddeveloper #frontenddevelopment #frontendwebdeveloper #frontendengineer #javascriptdeveloper #javascripts #javascriptengineer #javascript30 #computersciencestudent #computerscience #computer #bookreview #bookreviews #ydkjs #javascriptdeveloper #javascriptengineer

Resources ?‍?

WoC in STEM – created and shared by Natalie

Natalie says:

“It is the OFFICIAL and original page for discovering women of color in STEM! We interview WOC and share their stories on our page to show diversity in tech in social media as it is sorely lacking especially in the large repost pages. We simply want to empower other women. We want to inspire women to pursue or learn more about any field within STEM.”

Margarita says:

“It is a comprehensive and deep-dive tutorial about CSS resets.”
